Off we go......

to Denver for Jordan's rectal wall biopsy. For those of you who don't know, Jordan has had chronic constipation since birth. We thought that this was something he would grow out of but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. He has always only pooped once every 7 to 10 days. He gets really backed up and he struggles for 3 days just pushing and throwing up out his nose, he won't eat, and when he does finally go it is so big and painful that his little bum bleeds and he gets hemorrhoids and the specialist said it's the equivalent to giving birth every time he does it. We feel good about having this done because we just want to find out what is wrong with him. We have tried everything under the sun to help him to go, diet, increased water, enemas, soy milk,suppositories, and the only that that seems to work is an increased dose of Miralax (sp?) which he takes daily. Although this is in no way an extensive surgery just the thought of Jordan being under anaesthesia makes me so nervous. I will just be glad when this is all over with and Jordan can poop on his own :) Hope you all have a fantastic Easter weekend!!
